Right now, we are looking for folks to climb onboard our MACCA leadership train as we prepare to enter and celebrate our 50th year! If you are interested in acquiring experience – or using your gifts - please email Nancy Fink, Nominations Chair by Monday, August 12, 2019.
MACCA is especially interested in persons who may have a background in marketing, technology, and writing. Below, with brief descriptions, are several ways to get involved:
Member At Large (MAL) In this elected position, you would help by promoting MACCA to colleagues within your state, assisting with marketing efforts, contributing to the website, and chairing/serving on an action committee. MALs may also collaborate with other state MALs to join together in creating smaller networking opportunities. And we just love the results of our brainstorming throughout the year at Board meetings where we get to share ideas on trends and new ideas. We currently have openings in all states, except for Pennsylvania! States needing representation include: Washington DC (2), Delaware (2), Maryland (2), New Jersey (1), New York (1), and Virginia (2). (Two year term)
Vice President/President Elect In this elected position, you would supervise, direct, and maintain ongoing communication with Chairs of the Standing committees and the Board. You would also have the opportunity to coordinate our half-day June Summit. (3 year commitment)
Treasurer In this elected position, you would provide general financial oversight, planning, budgeting, record keeping and reporting for receipts and expenditures of the Association, serving in a “watchdog role” over the financial management of the Association.
Secretary In this elected position, you would be responsible for keeping all official minutes of the business meetings of the Association, and handling correspondence as needed. (Two year term).
Annual Conference Chair/Co-Chair In this appointed position, you would have responsibility for coordinating all activities related to the Annual Conference. This is done in collaboration with other leadership members. (One year term)
