MACCA will award one, bi-annual conference scholarship to a career counseling practitioner who currently serves in a university/college or technical school setting in Germany. (Note: Presentations at this conference will be in the English language)

The scholarship will cover the conference registration, hotel, meals and a stipend of $500.00 ( US currency) towards airfare; not to exceed $1200.00. The recipient will be responsible for arranging his or her own transportation and obtaining the appropriate travel information.


To be eligible, the applicant must have worked for at least one year in a professional full-time or part-time career counseling role within a German university/college or technical school setting.


The German Career Counseling Scholarship recipient will be selected based on the following submitted application materials:

      • Profile: Describe in 500 words or less your school’s Career Center and provide a description of your position.
      • Two letters of references from your institution, one reference being your immediate supervisor.
      • Essay: No more than 500 words describing how you will use this experience to contribute to the field of career counseling.
      • Provide a current resume.


April 1, 2017 – Deadline for applications

May 1, 2017 – Scholarship recipient selected & notified

June 1, 2017 – Recipient must acknowledge acceptance of scholarship
