2024 Summit Schedule & Objectives

“Dependable Strengths Facilitator Training Summit has been approved by NBCC for NBCC credit. MACCA: Community of Career Development Professionals is solely responsible for all aspects of the program. NBCC Approval No. SP-4613.”

One of the most valuable tools we can assist our students and clients with is the ability to identify, clarify, and talk about the strengths they really enjoy using so they can develop their brand and expand opportunities to use their potential. Through the Dependable Strengths Articulation Process© we embark on a process that begins by exploring things we actively made happen that energize us. Individual narratives will be created to fit who we are at our best. The result is a more effective job search and career satisfaction. Not only will we show you how to identify and clarify strengths that energize you, but we will also show you a proven process to build your network and obtain satisfying employment. The DSAP is based on an individual’s narrative of personal experiences rather than a formal assessment, which allows them to own and articulate the strengths they are most motivated to use. This process aligns with Career Construction Theories and Strength-Based approaches to career development and management. You will be provided with the tools, materials, and techniques to help your students and clients individually or work in groups.

Goals and Objectives: Participants in this training will:

  • Consider a framework for identifying strengths, networking, and team building that comes from personal experiences.
  • Experience the articulation process to begin to identify Dependable Strengths©, rather than a formal assessment.
  • Learn how to facilitate the process with their own clients & consider various designs to meet the needs of their population.
  • Receive a certificate/badge – “Dependable Strengths© Certified.”
