Bridging Clients to the Future of Work

This session will explore how career professionals can improve their clients’ career decision making skills by understanding what new and exciting career opportunities are available to them. The focus will be on encouraging professionals to increase their impact on their clients’ decision making by strengthening the bridge between clients and industry.

While labor market information is always important, this session will take a more in-depth look at work trends created by new industry technologies, fourth industrial (4IR) technologies impacting the workplace and work being done by companies from around the world. It will cover a wide variety of examples of how the world of work is changing, which industries are experiencing robust growth rates, and how our clients can use their talents and interests to become a part of this exciting world of work.

This session will educate career professionals on how the wide variety of career opportunities created by innovation extends beyond popular STEM careers to industries such as the trades, people focused industries, and healthcare, offering all clients a wide variety of career options. By being the bridge to industry, coaches and professionals can help all clients find satisfying employment in the future.



Facilitator Bio:

Ann Nakaska BA, M. Ed., CDF specializes in career decision making and career planning. She researches, writes, and presents globally on future work and industry trends. Her presentations go far beyond traditional labor market information focusing on fourth industrial revolution technologies, aerospace, health care, the trades and innovative industry technologies. She has appeared on numerous career development podcasts and online platforms including Career Thought Leaders Career Jam 2024.

Access to professional clothing can shape confidence, opportunity, and career mobility. In this panel session, we will discuss how clothing insecurity shows up for students and job seekers, how community partnerships can close access gaps, and how career professionals can prepare students and clients to present themselves professionally while honoring who they are.


Meet the Panelists:

Emily Overholt is a Licensed Social Worker and Certified Career Services Professional. With a Master's degree in clinical social work from the University of Pennsylvania and a foundation in mental health counseling, she is passionate about supporting individuals in exploring their own career paths through a holistic, human-centered lens.

She serves as the Assistant Director for Career Success at Moravian University, where she guides 3rd and 4th year students through career and professional development. This past Spring, she spearheaded a collaboration with the Moravian's United Student Government to launch a Career Closet Pop-Up event. This initiative collected 900 pieces of professional clothing for students and raised over $900 for The Perfect Fit - a local nonprofit organization supporting women dressing for professional success.This initiative exemplifies her commitment to advancing workplace equity, creating a ripple effect of positive impact that extends well beyond Moravian's campus.


Jaclyn Rodick is a Gen-Z student affairs professional serving as Senior Assistant Director for Career Success & Strategic Communications at Moravian University. She holds an M.Ed. from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and is a current doctoral student at Moravian. Her work focuses on expanding access to professional attire and basic needs resources, including leading the launch of Moravian’s Career Closet (coming Fall 2026) and partnering with Moravian’s United Student Government to raise $900+ for YWCA Allentown’s The Perfect Fit. She also supervises internships with the campus food and basic needs pantry, using strategic marketing to increase awareness, reduce barriers, and destigmatize students’ use of support services. Trained in Restorative Practices, she centers community and relationship-building while blending lived experience with research to create inclusive, forward-thinking strategies.


LeTonya Wilson is a nonprofit partnerships professional and community connector with a passion for creating opportunities that strengthen individuals and communities. A graduate of Tennessee State University, she has built a career centered on relationship-building, strategic outreach, and mission-driven impact. With 17 years of experience spanning community engagement, partnership development, and program operations, she is known for turning connections into meaningful collaborations that create lasting results.

Currently serving as Partnerships Manager at The Wardrobe, LeTonya leads corporate sponsorships, volunteer engagement, and community partnerships that expand access to clothing, confidence, and workforce readiness resources. She is committed to helping organizations align purpose with impact and continues to grow as a leader at the intersection of partnerships, empowerment, and social change.
