Penn State Harrisburg Career Services is on the lookout for two dynamic Career Counselors to join our vibrant community! If you're passionate about guiding students toward their career goals and want to make a real impact, this is the opportunity for you. Application review will begin on a rolling basis at the end of July 2024.

Position: Career Counselor- Will act as a liaison to one or more academic schools and will develop expertise in those areas to serve that population of students.

Schedule: 10-month full-time position with a reduced FTE schedule (HR 105 policy). (11 months may be considered; flexible work arrangements available (HR 107 policy).

Location: Penn State Harrisburg, Middletown, PA.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide personalized career counseling
Support employer engagement and strategic programming
Recruit, train, and supervise student workers
Deliver presentations and manage employer databases

Conduct document reviews and drop-in sessions

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of relevant experience (Advanced level requires 3+ years)
Excellent communication skills
Experience in programming/event planning
