Pathways and Passions: Stories of Purpose and Growth in Our Careers
February 3rd at 12:00PM

Facilitators: Soyica White and Ira Disman

Join us for an inspiring networking event where facilitators will share their journeys into their current industries and roles and reflect on pivotal moments, challenges, and motivations that shaped their careers by answering thought-provoking questions about what drives their passion and purpose.

We then invite participants to break into small groups to share their own career stories, exchange ideas, and connect on a deeper level. This interactive session is a perfect opportunity to gain inspiration, build your network, and explore the diverse paths that lead to fulfilling careers.

About the facilitators:

Soyica has dedicated many years to supporting others, utilizing holistic and creative solutions towards their career and life journeys.  Drawing from professional and personal experiences, travels along with certifications in Workforce Development, Adult Education, Economic Development, in addition to serving many years "behind the chair" as both a licensed Cosmetologist and Barber, Soyica is grateful to help individuals thrive in various aspects of their lives.   His mission is to empower others to feel confident in their career and life path—by bridging their unique gifts and talents to meaningful work.

Ira's extensive recruiting experience started with the Jacobson Group, the leading insurance talent firm in the country. After receiving his MBA at Drexel University, Ira morphed into corporate recruiting. In his career, Ira recruited for a very wide range of positions at different salary levels in many different disciplines. He has reviewed thousands of resumes, interviewed thousands of candidates, and has been involved in hundreds of offer negotiations. Along the way he was an adjunct professor at Delaware County Community College, teaching the course Personal and Career Development.  Utilizing his twenty-five years of experience in the recruiting field, in 2024 he started his own career coaching firm, Cornerstone Career Advising. Also, Ira is a volunteer career coach for his undergraduate alma mater, Babson College, where he advises alumni of the undergraduate and MBA programs on all phases of the job search process.

This session is free for MACCA members, $10 for non-members
